A compact, single-overhead-cam design and long piston stroke gives the Mercury 60 FourStroke outboards more low-end torque for excellent acceleration, even when pushing a heavy load.

MERCURY ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (EFI)

Mercury Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) delivers reliable turnkey starts, improved fuel efficiency, instant throttle response and protection against low-quality-fuel problems.

MERCURY SMARTCRAFT

Previously reserved for higher horsepower engines, full Mercury SmartCraft functionality has now been extended to the 40-60hp models for instant, reliable information displayed on a range of Mercury SmartCraft digital gauges, or on your phone with optional VesselView mobile.

NEW INTUITIVE TILLER HANDLE

Port side or starboard, you pick the mounting location, and the tiller adapts to you. Its reversible throttle grip can be configured for control with either hand, while lateral adjustments ensure a convenient steering angle.

HIGH-OUTPUT ALTERNATOR

An 18-amp alternator helps keep batteries charged and fishing electronics humming long into the evening bite.

CONVENIENT MAINTENANCE

We made maintenance easier with features like color-coded touch points, an easy-access water-separating fuel filter and an oil filter drip tray, which helps you get the job done with less mess.
